IRIS PRIZE FESTIVAL
I was commissioned to write and record the theme song for the 2015 Iris Prize Festival. I also had the opportunity to perform the song at the closing ceremony in Cardiff’s Cineworld theatres. The theme and montage can be found at, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoEd_6DVDkU.
A short independent film made by Adam Davies for which I wrote a piano and violin composition. The film won best sound designer of 2015 at the L.A Independent Film Festival. The film can be found here, https://vimeo.com/147656567
I was recently commissioned to write a song for a short film which in turn won best short at Palm Beach International Film Festival. In addition to this, a previous composition was featured. Further footage and music will be available online soon.
- MUSIC TEACHER -
Taking into account everything that I have learned, for two years I taught seven local children simple piano and vocal skills, which we’d put into practice by learning some of their favorite songs. This gave me the chance to work with younger people and understand how to communicate with different age groups.
- ACTING -
During the summer of 2014, I was cast in S4C’s Gwaith Cartref, playing the role of Leilah, a Welsh singer-songwriter. During the fifth season, I had the opportunity to perform and record a song for the series, which was aired in the final episode. This gave me the experience of working in a professional and equally creative environment.
- PERFORMANCES -
Since the age of 12 I have been gigging around Cardiff at numerous private events, bars, clubs, ceremonies and showcases. I have had the pleasure of performing at venues such as St David’s Hall, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff City Stadium, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, The Senedd and The Pierhead Building.
Since moving to London in September 2015, I have booked myself and performed at The Spice of Life, Old Queen’s Head, Proud Camden,The Slaughtered Lamb, The Westbury Pub and The Troubadour on numerous occasions. ELAM have helped with gig organising including The Garage and Southbank’s Royal Festival Hall.
